The global chessboxing community awakes in a shock by discovering that Iepe Rubing, the inventor of chessboxing and president of the World Chess Boxing Organisation, died this week.
Iepe, with his usual cheerfulness and enthusiasm, at the last ChessBoxing World Championships.
This is a time of mourning but we expect the chessboxing community to react, by pulling together, to this sad and unexpected news. Rest in peace Iepe.
